What are we looking for?
Data scientist responsible for the development of computational solutions applicable on biological systems (skin & hair), formulation, bioefficacy. Leads projects to identify new technologies and convert conceptual innovative ideas into actionable computational products to support consumer perceivable benefits.
What are the main responsibilities:
This leader works closely with R&D skin and body category leaders as well as with Marketing and Sustainability teams. Identifies and partners with external thought leaders and those with relevant late stage technology leads.
Who is the person?
Experience driving innovation within a fast-paced and flexible research environment. Makes unobvious connections and brings in new ideas through data deep understanding design and implement bioinformatics analysis for large-scale data (OMICs), considering internal and public data applications and scripts for detecting skin and hair features and collecting biometric data, data mining and image processing for pattern recognition, active construction of the technical knowledge of the company, providing training and dissemination of knowledge.
What you need to have?
Understanding of skin biology or other relevant fields, notable experience with R and Python programming languages required. Desirable experience in machine learning and predictive modeling, knowledge of Linux/Unix environment, version control tools (Git), as well as management and maintenance of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and cloud environment. Solid knowledge of mathematics and statistics required. Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, collaborative, investigative and analytical.Bioefficacy experience required
